Etnica are Ibiza-based Italian duo Max Lanfranconi and Maurizio Begotti. (The original quartet was comprised of Max Lanfranconi, Maurizio Begotti, Carlo Paterno, and Andrea Rizzo). Electronic music producers extraordinaire, ETNICA have pioneered the global phenomenon that is psychedelic trance since the late 80′s as doyens and undisputed innovators, trail-blazing the planet with their charismatic live performances as  constant favorites on international line-ups at all of the world’s top events.  Simply put, they are among the most acclaimed artists of their kind, with a growing legion of fans that span the entire planet, devotedly following them since the glorious Acid House days.

Quintessentially Mediterranean yet utterly universal, the romantic and evocative allure of their sci-fi imbued compositions have rippled out through the years, inspiring many an artist and forging, during the ‘golden era’ of Goa Trance, what would become the  blueprint for this legendary musical genre. ETNICA have given us an imposing array of classics starting from their debut album ‘The Juggeling Alchemist Under the Blacklight’ and their  sophomore album ‘Alien Protein’, which set the tone for the illustrious sequence of 8 artist albums up until present day.

Their countless hit singles feature on all of the best labels (including Spirit Zone, Blue Room Released, Dragonfly, Flying Rhino, Solstice Music, High Society, and Neurobiotic to name only a few) while legendary hits such as TRIPTONITE and VIMANA have endlessly been remixed by admiring artists all over the world throughout the years.

Attention has inevitably been garnered outside of the international electronic music circuit, with memorable collaborations including  licensing their musical pieces to Sony Playstation for the acclaimed Gran Turismo game, as well as soundtrack and sound designing for Italian  titans Ferrari and Ducati. Back home at their headquarters in the world’s clubbing capital, Max Lanfranconi was awarded ‘Best DJ’ during 2005′s edition of Ibiza DJ Awards.

With their record label ETNICANET they are responsible for igniting new scenes in many of today’s festival and clubbing hot spots such as  South Africa (Southafrica 2000 Millennium Festival in collaboration with Vortex and Alien Safari, and the Southafrica 2002 Total Solar Eclipse Festival), Venezuela (1998 Eclipse Festival), Brazil (Celebra Brasil 2001, 2002, and 2003 editions, the first of which was the first ever festival of its kind in the continent), and much more.

In 2010 Etnica inaugurated their new state-of-the-art recording facilities: SOUNDFARM Studios in Ibiza.

Digital Talk is Julien Fougea and Luc Achintre, french answer to psytrance.

After experimenting with different aspects of acoustic music, these two childhood friends were hooked by the 90′s techno scene. Few years later, they created the visionary band named “Droidsect”, with two other friends. In 2001, they unleashed a huge amount of unreleased tunes mostly played at underground parties in Goa, India. Later, they signed their first release with 3D Vision Records next to Skazi, Talamasca, and Total Eclipse. The project ended fast but a new kind of trance music was born….

Continuing from the previous work while adding more musical directions, Julien and Luc joined forces to create “Digital Talk” in 2002. The French duo started to play for electronic music events at every corner of the globe: from Japan to Brazil, Mexico to India, Russia to USA, and almost every country all over Europe.

Their debut album “New Age Surf” released in 2004 then shaped the darker side of the psytrance genre. The album was signed on Acidance records, a Greek label well known for its furious and eclectic psychedelic sounds.

In 2005, after a successful album release, Digital Talk joined Timecode Records compiling ‘Sonic Solutions’ featuring Shift, Azax Syndrom, Phatmatix, and others. One year later they signed on with the growing Japanese label Yabaï Records where, with an abundance of energy, they delivered a constant stream of powerful tunes.

After touring the world and relaxing from music, the French masters of alien frequencies are now preparing their second album. The release is expected in 2010 on Hadra Records and will cause some serious dance floor damage. Stay Close!..

Tiago Coelho pimentel has a connection with music since his childhood. The first contact was with classical music, but it would be the power of electronic music that would influence his artistic culture at psychedelic parties. Discovering trance lead tryambaka to producing intense sounds marked by a nocturnal and unique style. Since then the challenge is at his fingertips, adopting one of the many names given to the hindu god shiva meaning the one who sees thru the third eye, a vision that promotes union such as the music he represents.

Antispin are Daniel Thomas and Hugo Rendell. They have been busy blasting the UK and europe since 2007 with a gnarling twilight sound. Known for their heavy basslines and minimal / urban fusion, these sounds will twist you up and spit you out!.

2010/11 saw the first wave of releases with tracks on Labels such as Bluehoursounds, Digital Distortion Records and Trick Music, collaborating with Scorb/Phibian on the “Dangerstrips E.P”.

Currently wrapping up their first studio album “Cropped Circles” coming soon to DIgital Psionics, the next crop of Antispin tunes is about to be unleashed.

Soundscrape – Blue hour Sounds 

Soundscrape is the new project of Hugo, one half on Antispin. Soundscrape has crafted a deep nocturnal progressive set drawing on influences from nightime zenon records artists, the likes of S.P.C, classic psy tech trance and a pinch of Suomi. Chunked out basslines, swung out breaks and off the wall sounds feature in a constantly evolving, and improvised live set. Currently working on arrangements at higher tempo’s, the Soundscrape live set will soon allow to merge between styles and bpms.

Expect a upcoming release on the new Blue Hour Sounds Compilation ‘ The Persistence of Memory’ and a Digi E.P Landing soon.

Antispin - Digital Psionics / Trick Music

Sychotria, formed in Brazil early 2007, is the Full-On night time psychedelic project of Charles Cardoso and Flavio Ferreira. Charles is also producing music under the name of Whiptongue while his friend Flavio is also known to make music as Xpiral.

Sychotria has had releases on various compilations VA – Pagan Forest Magik, VA – Tales From The Crypt, VA – Enter Mitnal, VA – Depth Of Ankh, VA – Zoomorphic Rituals, VA – Ruthless Illusions, VA – The Power Of Dreams

Sychotria is one of the best known Brazilian night projects and has played at various club nights, parties and major festivals all over Brazil. (Samsara Festival, MG Festival Out of Time / MA, SoulVision Festival / SP, Carnival Festival of Brasilia DF, Paradise Festival, SP, UFO / DF, OHM / MG and Fiction Club / GO) . Sychotria tour in 2010 and 2011 was a big success playing in England, Germany, Italy, Romania , Swiss and Turkey.

Moscow project Universcience (ex. Magic Forest) was founded by two creative individuals Sergey Bogdanov and Elena Kakusha. The project was a participant in parties and festivals, both in Russia’s near abroad and Baltic countries, India and Nepal. For a not long time, its existence, the project had published on the Russian label Trimurti.

Synthetik Chaos is Yan, a French electronic music producer, part of the original Illegal Machines line-up, he also participated in the Psychodroids project (Illegal & friends).

His influences come from different kinds of music (mainly electronic) such as: Aphex Twin, Slide, Richard Devine, Nick Taylor, Ministry, Droid Sect, Sonic Youth etc……..

The result of all this influences & many experimentation’s in the lab results in a combination of heavy twisted basslines & electroid rhythms, psychedelics soundz & weird noises, with always in mind to keep the dance floor as a recreation ground!

He has already released some tracks on several labels including World People Production, Pixan, Phar Psyde and has collaborated with some top headlining acts like Electrypnose, Dirty Saffi, Illegal Machines, Konflux…. Stay tuned for other projects in progress!

It´s been only 3 years ago (2008), that Alpha and Antagon started their project -Z-. Their productivity led already to the Ep “All Consuming Fire” and their debut album “Revo” as well as various tracks on compilations.

The concept behind the project remains the same: playing with different styles (EBM, Industrial, Dark Psychedelic Trance) without copying images, but to merge things for a unique sound with a high recognition value the “-Z-Sound”.

This has been further developed and led to many performances ranging from small clubs to big festivals like VuuV-Festival , O.Z.O.R.A, Boom-Festival, Universo Parallelo, Spirit Base, Psycrowdelica, just to mention a few.

Both artists have a long and vivid background in the Psytrance Scene, and joined forces to experiment and create music without borders and limits.

Maybe this is the secret, why the sound of -Z- (alpha & antagon) is working very well at multistyle-festivals as well as Modern Psytrance (so called “Dark”) events.

So far all releases have collaboration tracks with other established and talented artists like Ocelot, Penta and RMX of New Model Army track “All Consuming Fire”. They will continue with this tradition on their new album “Gospodin” with Kindzadza (rus), Cosmo (slk), Paratox (ger) and Che Guevera (arg), Bertolt Brecht and Klaus Kinski.

Science Fiction and progressive political movements are fusing to a modern psychedelic sound.

Live:

For their live performance it is absolutely necessary to know that both parts of -Z- have to be present for the performance: For the liveset the tracks are re-arranged in realtime …and real instruments are used by Alpha (keyboard & bass guitar), while Antagon is the master of the live mixing universe.

For 2012 the guys have planned something really special.

Band Performances at selected events through the year featuring interesting artists, who support the -Z- Sound with 2 more elements: the groove (drums) and the plank (the guitar).

For that reason we are happy to announce that Johann Bley (ex Juno Reactor) on drums and Tim Schuldt on guitar are going to support these special Live sets among others who will be announced soon.

Ectogasmics is containing of two halves of a brain that are constantly competing with each other, complimenting, and melding together each others brew into one entity.

The signals are being pumped ahead in around 150 bpm in a dark & trippy mood and will affect all organisms in its way with strong psychedelic energy, which goes straight for audiences’ audial jugulars and just won’t let go. The solo …projects of the two “halves” are called OIL, from Sweden, and CONXION from Germany.

In 2007 they started to probe each other, combining their wicked ways, in 2008 were their first releases and in 2009 they started doing live acts. Already they have managed to get affiliated with nice Label releases on labels like: Parvati Records, Full Moon Records, Pixan Records, Tremors Underground, AntiShanti Records and so on.. Ectogasmics are responsible for a proverbial firework of creativity that, after years of fine tuning, culminated in the next logical step on the ‘psychedelic evolution’ ladder.

OIL is Stefan Anderson from the deep fried forests of Ludvika, Sweden. Stefan likes to experiment and combine influences of different music styles in his production. Since 2007 his musical direction was turning more and more into a straight psycho-forest project with an open mind to all kinds of underground genres.

Its hard categorise his style. But, supposedly, u could call it psychedelic and funky, leaning against a dark mood. He likes to juggle around with a thick range of elements of the track, over a wide spectrum of frequencies and panorama, in all 4 dimensions of sound. OIL will bash and wiggle on your third eye. 149 to 165 Times Per Minute. With a bassline that is mossy, sticky and dripping.

OIL is really fond of artists such as; Derango, Procs, Alex Adrenal-Matutero-Zik-Glands, Scorb, NRS, Naked Tourist, Ghreg On Earth, Penta, Lemurians, Electrypnose, Airi, Karash, Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, just to name a few. OIL feels happy to be part of the lively and often nutty swedish nightmusic scene where he feels very comfortable and which inspired him a lot. He digs sounds that makes you think of scratching, beat-juggling and other turntable-tricks. His own BPM ranges from 149-165. OIL had his debut release on Shiva Space Technology in the very end of 2006, and Sonic Tantra in 2007, and since then on other labels such as: Trishula Records, Hypnotica Records, Geomagnetic Records, Rudraksh Records, Dacru Records, Anomalistic Records and Moon Koradji Records. Stay Spooned!

On a magic gathering called Psycrowdelica Festival he got his first contact with the Berlin based DJ/producer Conxion (or human name Jochen), and together they created the project Ectogasmics, where much of his energy goes today.

Soladria a.k.a Lunar vegetarian & half of Ascoil Sun is a musician from Espoo, Finland. He started composing electronic music some 10 years ago, recently focucing mainly on psychedelic music in its all forms. Playing the Keyboard and Percussion instruments also for over 10 years he has been able to establish his own melodic and hyperdrived soundscapes sculpted with occasional use of guitars. Drawing the musical ideas mainly from Progressive/Psychedelic rock, he sets the path with his unigue ambiences, energetic vibes and beautifull melodies. There are no boundaries within his music, tracks can vary from deeply dark and pressing sounds to melodic and uplifting psychedelic.

Soladria has released compilation tracks on Code vision, Peyotee record, Planet B.E.N. and People of the butterflies. Soladria is releasing EP soon on Sunstation and Planet B.E.N. and finishing Chill out LP as Lunar vegetarian.

PhasePhour has its roots in one of the most northern peaks of the planet: Norway. The project is in the experienced hands of John Robert Egeland, Eldar von Essen and Christer Andersson.

The sound of PhasePhour is not easily defined. With its massive melodic full-on sound combined with a deep Scando landscape, it’s a perfect combination to both move the dance floor and for repeated listening at home.

PhasePhour has released two full albums; the praised debut album “Boiing & Zipp” and the second album “Fun From Far Away”. With other numerous releases on major labels like Shiva Space Technology, Chill Tribe, Aleph Zero, Geomagnetic Records, and upcoming releases on BMSS and Digital Distortion Records, PhasePhour has earned its way into the international psytrance scene as one of the leading artist coming out of Norway.

PhasePhour has been playing live around the globe several times with amazing performances in Europe, USA, Brazil and Mexico.

The future looks bright.

Constructor is a Marburg based project of Henning Hinck and Jens Seibel (DJ Astronom) founded in 2009 after many years of Djing. The Constructor sound consits of psychedelic and interesting ideas also originating from the Rhythmic Noise scene and darkpsy, forest and  twilight influenced music. It shall break some walls and boundries and show up new directions for psytrance in the 21st century.

DJ Astronom is Jens Seibel from Marburg Germany. A fulltime trancehead with a lot of passion for everything concerning psychedelic music. He started DJ-ing in 1999 and earned a lot of respect and reputation at various gigs. So far he played at many parties like Antaris- and Full Moon – Festival in Northern Germany and in other countries such as Switzerland the Summers Ends Festival, Morocco, Austria, Hungary, Sweden and Netherlands. Jens loves to play fresh and powerfull night music sound that is clearly defined and structured, a bit acherontic but melodic though, mystic but also frisky and first and foremost propulsive as well as intelligent morning music with soul…

He organized nearly 100 parties with space for everything in the last 12 years. He now concentrates on producing his own tracks with his friend Henning. So they put their passions together and make a freaky liveact named Constructor.
